Deafblindness is a combination of vision and hearing loss which affects communication, learning, mobility and understanding of the world. In India there are approximately 500,000 children and adults with deafblindness. Sense International India in its journey of 23 years, has brought hope in the lives of over 78,000 children and adults with deafblindness across India.

A story of regaining a family. Meryjosefa is 4 years old, she has Deafblindness and Cerebral Palsy. Missing many developmental goals, she was not able to sit by herself. Sense International India came in touch with Meryjosefa and with our intervention and proper nutritional support she has been learning to sit by herself and recognizing her family through touch. Her parents and 4 siblings go through this journey with her. Being together in her therapies and grow as a family.
